A few more men’s deliveries have arrived from Trovata, Culturata, and Vince.  Within these deliveries are some light and bright colors to help push through these first grey days of Spring.  The nice thing about a light and bright color palette is that it pairs back to the darker colors we seem to find comfort in.  A shot of pink or pale blue enlivens navy or grey and is surprisingly easy to wear.

Light and bright is the name of the game and it’s easy to do with basics like the above.  How will you lighten up your wardrobe this spring?

Spring is near (despite the snow)!

What Comes Around Goes Around

What Comes Around Goes Around

Well, the bulk of spring styles for men and women have arrived in the shop and frankly I couldn’t be more ready for them.  Even though we’re still experiencing crazy snowstorms, Spring is just around the corner and what better way to get ready and in the mood than by updating your wardrobe.

For the ladies: spring is signaled with soft neutrals and punches of color.

While a menswear blazer is a key piece for the season, not all styles are so structured.  For example, Madison Marcus’ take on the double breasted version: the epitomy of non-chalant style and easy elegance.

Spring is also the time to really let your feminine side shine and it’s a cinch this season with all the ruffles, rosettes, pleats, and extra details.  These romantic pieces from Elijah really get the feeling right.

Abstract prints in fun colors are still part of the fashion vocabulary this season and toughen up their soft side with exposed zippers and exciting colors.
Spring is definitely the time to play with delicate fabrics, lighter and brighter colors, soft drape, and the feminine details that can get lost in all the layers of colder seasons (that is if the sun decides to finally break through).  The snow has to stop at some point right?
The spring-feverish fun isn’t all for the ladies though.  This season is a great one for the guys too.  While the colors of menswear tend to lighten up as well this time of year what really catches my eye are the changes in texture and fabric.  There are a lot more prints, ginghams, seersuckers, textured linens and the like that all signify a lighter mood and more casual atmosphere that seem to coincide with warmer temperatures.  The look is still put together and smart but with a decidedly more laid back temperment than fall or winter.
