Posted in Bottoms, Dresses with tags dresses, pencil skirts, skirts, trina turk on September 24, 2011 by veridisclothierTrina Turk’s latest fall delivery is full of polished pieces that are work-friendly and have an elegant attitude about them. The Kingfisher Dress, pictured above, is a simple ribbed sweater dress (made of fine merino wool) that buttons from top to bottom. The tie at the neck can be left undone for a more casual take on the prim and proper look.
Two more work-friendly pieces from Trina Turk come in skirt form. The navy Clover Bow Skirt takes the classic wool skirt in a feminine, flirty direction. Pair it with a classic button-up shirt or add a little extra style with a lace t-shirt. Gentle tucks at the waistline add a little extra shape to an otherwise simple skirt.
The blue tweed Wescott Skirt epitomizes fall with its texture and classic style. Falling just below the knee, this slim pencil skirt is totally work appropriate and highlights that retro vibe Trina Turk does so well. The great thing about all these pieces is that they won’t go out of style. Classic works for a reason, and this collection really embodies that.
Paige Denim
Posted in Bottoms with tags boot cut, denim, jeans, Paige Premium Denim, skinny on July 13, 2011 by veridisclothierNew to Veridis this summer is Paige Premium Denim. This line is already well known and loved for good reason: amazing stretch and recovery, beautiful fits, and fabulous washes. We’re starting off the summer with the two styles pictured here and will receive new styles each month. Come find out why these jeans rock!
The jeans pictured up top and above are the Hidden Hills Bootcut in the “Twilight” wash. Super dark, this blue borders on black making it super versatile and flattering. These guys fit super snug around the hips and then flare out to a classic boot-cut shape. There’s quite a bit of s t r e t c h in these beauties.
The Skyline Ankle Peg in “Super Rebellious” is a great blue wash in a universally flattering skinny shape. This style has a 360 degree stretch to fit your shape perfectly (hugs the legs, unlike the pole in the picture). These won’t bag out- they return to their original fantastic shape. Also, if I’m missing your size I can always special order for you!

They Will Be Myne, Oh Yes, They Will Be Myne…
Posted in Bottoms, Dresses, Women's Tops with tags dresses, embroidery, Myne, prints, shorts, silk, tribal on May 26, 2011 by veridisclothierMyne’s first summer delivery is full of light, airy, easy to wear pieces. The Jamie dress (pictured above) enlivens an ikat print with a watermelon hued backdrop. Short cuffed sleeves and side pockets make this a functional and fun everyday summer dress. The “tribal” motif is continued with the Brooklyn tank; white embroidery decorates a delicate sheer silk tank. Gentle pleats falling from the chest pocket further the feminine feel.
The Tara shorts (pictured below) are also silk and have an easy breezy attitude about them. Grey silk piping outlining the loose pockets is a nice contrast to the inky black. Silk skirt-like shorts are a playful alternative to a skirt or more traditional shorts.
Now just mix all of the above with some sun and you have a winning combination!
Second Suit
Posted in Bottoms, outerwear with tags blazers, jackets, Linen, navy, suits, Trovata on April 10, 2011 by veridisclothierEvery man should have at least two suits; a black suit for formal occasions and a second suit in another color and usually another fabric. A spring and summer suit. Make it grey, khaki, or navy; these colors are all suitable for summer weddings and special events and will add depth to what can sometimes be boring formal wear.
Trovata’s Peacemonger suit jacket and Nou suit pant is a great second suit option. Made of a linen/cotton blend it’s the perfect spring/summer weight and fabric. Slightly relaxed, the fit matches the more casual aspect of the fabric. This suit is also really easy to break apart and wear as separates; ensuring you will get major bang for your buck when it comes down to cost per wear!
