Draping Made Easy

In fashion school, draping is a class that can really highlight a designer’s ability to understand how clothes hang on the body and how clothes move with the body.  It’s not easy to achieve excellence here and sometimes it’s the smallest tuck or seam that helps the garment come alive. Case in point: Fluxus’ Krista dress.  A very simple and clean tee dress from the front is elevated by the play of the fabric on the back.  The fabric is a soft viscose/spandex which actually hangs really nicely on its own, but it’s how they cut and measured the fabric, how they played with the drape, that really makes this dress special.
