Helena de Natalio

Bags! Bags! Bags! Yeah! The fall delivery from Helena de Natalio has arrived full of rich leather and utilitarian goodness.  Luxe embossed cow and lambskin pair nicely with handy features like drawstring closures and removable cross-body straps.  Fall colors like cognac, grey, and olive are sure to work with everything in your wardrobes while metallic finishes on a couple of the styles add a nice shot of bling.  And as always the Helena de Natalio line is committed to the socially responsible production of its bags, ensuring a healthy work environment for the artisans that create the bags, both in Marin County, CA and Argentina. The beautiful half-moon Georgia bag in cognac comes with both a short handle and a longer strap to wear across the body.  Both are removable.

Katherine black croc embossed tote bag.  Features two zip pockets on the sides, a snap top closure, and a removable cross-body strap to extend the options on how to sport this functional beauty.

Susan is similar in structure to Katherine just BIGGER.  The metallic snake embossed lambskin is supple and soft but has all the utilitarian goodness needed in a large bag.  Large enough to hold a laptop, a pair of shoes and then some this bag is perfect for a working girl that loves a little bling.  This bag also sports the removable long strap, the unobtrusive side zip pockets, cinching handles at the top and great interior pockets for the items you need to reach easily. This is one big beautiful bag.

If you’re interested in a more relaxed shape, check out the Sofita in a shiny snake finish.  This classic hobo is one I’ve carried before but this incarnation is a smaller, more manageable size.  The beautiful deep olive color (with the untimely name of petrol) works with everything.  The slight sheen offers more textural, visual interest.  Adjust the shoulder strap to suit you; need more space, less cinch? loosen the buckles on either side.  This classic shape is a must in your bag collection, and this version really has it all.

The last bag I picked up from the fall Helena de Natalio collection really hits on a lot of trends right now.  The lovely grey Shandi drawstring tote is uber versatile.  The bucket bag style is all over the place this summer and fall.  This dressed up version with gunmetal hardware can be worn as a purse OR you can pull the straps through and wear it as a backpack – another HUGE trend for fall.  The Shandi has those great side zip pockets (featured in most of the collection) and beautiful seaming details around the body of the bag.  This is a great everyday bag.

The entire collection is beautiful and deserves to be seen in person.  The colorways and styles are classic yet made interesting with the details and finishes; plus they can be worn year round.  Bags are great place to invest your money, you use them every day (cost per wear? becomes minimal) and they really set the tone for how you present yourself.
