Lovely Fall

Autumn gets ushered in with greens turning golden and bronze, a slight nip in the air near dawn and dusk, and boots!!!  There is no better way to mark the changing of the seasons, at least sartorially, than with a killer pair of boots.  Make ’em ankle booties, cowboy, over-the-knee, or slouched- boots announce the coming of colder weather, and the need to bundle up.  This season at Veridis we have a couple beauties to share with you.

First, from Farylrobin we have an awesome go-with-everything pair of grey suede flat boots that hit just below the knee.  They feature an accent of grey leather at the back of the knee and a very slight hidden wedge with a rubber sole.  For those who are skeptical of suede shoes in the winter time, fear not!  These puppies have been treated and are ready to take on whatever weather gets thrown our way.  For those who deal with a lot of snow and the city salting the streets, a good trick to have on hand for all of your suede goods involves the magic elixir that is white vinegar.  Dab it on your boots, bags, coats, wherever there are salt stains and magically watch as the stains disappear.   Don’t let any threat of weather hold you back from these boots- they are a phenom.

If you are into a little heel, go for these killer olive color snake skin lovelies from Cynthia Vincent.  This is an extremely wearable heel, only about 2 inches.  In olive instead of true brown these boots with work with almost any winter color palette.   They feature an inside zipper to help you in and out and hit right at the knee.  In a word- sexy.  We have limited size runs for both of these styles so don’t wait to snatch up the one that calls to you!

P.S.  I photographed these on a mirror.  Hope it’s not confusing where the shoe ends and its reflection begins.
