Guys, we have beautiful sweaters from Johnny Love out of Norway (they know what’s cold and how to combat it stylishly- see one of their sweaters above), from Vince, who ingeniously employed yak and camel hair along with the standard wool to make some of the plushest, softest sweaters this side of cashmere you ever felt.

These shirts are all in the slim fit, which going forward is being called the “tailored” fit. If you are a slimmer guy, for whom the tailored fit is still a little too loose, fear not! Culturata’s new “slim” fit will cater to you. I have samples of the new slim, smaller fit for you to test. I will probably continue to carry the “tailored” fit, but depending on customer interest I may also pick up the new “slim” fit. Please ask to try the new sizes and let me know what you think! A new collection of clutches from Linea Pelle just arrived in store and are set to help ease the load this holiday season. A small bag is great for holiday events (or any event really) when you don’t want straps to get in the way of your perfectly picked ensembles. Clutches also make great bag-within-bag choices for keeping all your necessities in one place inside the abyss of a large hobo or tote bag. The Linea Pelle pieces are leather (of course) and each have a distinct personality. The Stud Clutch (above) is surprisingly sophisticated for all the hardware. Perhaps it’s the lattice-work that helps it straddle the line between edgy and elegant.

The Lock Clutch has a more utilitarian feel with its functioning gold-tone hardware and textured pebbled leather. What a great little bag to throw inside your book bag, backpack, or tote; not that it doesn’t look good enough to stand on its own. The wristlets on each of the clutches make them easy companions.

The Woven Clutch offers a slightly more refined appearance but can easily be carried for less than formal occasions. Soft coffee-colored leather and delicate details make it a standout winner. The Lace Yoke

Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent has come out with a number of pieces this season that highlight the upper back and front of the chest with lace. The lace yoke: a delicate detail that adds a grand amount of drama to the garments they adorn. The blouse would look awesome with jeans but would also pair with a maxi skirt (godet or not) for more formal occasions. The batwing, billowy style furthers the drama (back view below).
